How Much Does a Freelance Copywriter Cost?

You have project needs without the human resources to meet them. And now you've begun to scour the internet, trying to find the best freelance copywriters.

Now you need to know how much hiring a copywriter costs. The answer is that it depends on what you want and the quality of the writer.

The Costs of Freelance Writers

If you're looking for a seasoned pro, expect to pay between $250 to $400 for a 1,500-word blog entry.

Looking for a white paper? That will run you between $500 and $1000.

And for landing pages, some copywriters charge thousands. The same can be said for social media campaigns.

That may lead to the next question...

Why Are Some Freelance Copywriters Expensive?

The truth is that quality writing is an important skill that can help a company earn large sums of money. Web pages and social media channels are often a big part of the public face of an organization.

Blog entries help potential customers, or whoever your target audience is, learn more about you and what you offer. They can inform people and influence decisions.

And they're an incredibly effective tool for SEO. In other words, they are one way (if done effectively) that people can find your company/brand online more easily.

In other words, quality content can be worth tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of dollars.

Cha-ching.

So what you ultimately end up paying your writers is a very small fraction of what your company could potentially earn from their work.

But what if you want to save money and hire someone who will only charge $30 for a blog or $50 for a landing page.

They exist. Cheap writers can be found by the dozens on sites like Upwork and Fiverr.

But it's like any other service...

You Get What You Pay For

You can absolutely go with a cheaper alternative. But don't expect high-quality results. For example, would you hire a plumber who only charged five bucks?

What do you think the risks would be?

With ultra-cheap freelance copywriters, you don't get quality craftsmanship. You don't get someone with experience, passion, or dedication. And as a result, you likely won't get the results you're seeking.

How Much Does Chris Alexis Charge for Copywriting?

I like to give people options, so they can decide what works best for them.

For example, my blogs start off at $150. That's for 500 words and one revision. If you want 1,000 words and two revisions, I can do that for $250. I can also give you 5,000 words and three revisions for $650.

(And that's a better rate than many other freelance copywriters out there.)

I also offer landing page copy and social media campaigns. Look for the "Catalog" button at the top of my homepage for all the details.

Or just scroll down the page and check out the "Copywriting Services" section.

I've been a professional writer since 2007, when I began my career as an award-winning journalist. (And I mean "when I began" quite literally. The article the newspaper assigned me as an interview test was met with accolades.)

Over time, I became an award-winning communicator after writing for an e-school's website, which helped grow their parent engagement by a whopping 20%.

If you'd like to see the quality of my work, please take a gander at my portfolio. And the top of my homepage features testimonials, which helps you more fully understand what you're paying for—the experiences and results you'll collect from working with me.

I hope we can chat. Shoot me a message on the website or just email me at christopherwalexis@gmail.com.
