About Me

Helping others reach their goals is what drives me, and writing is how I get to do it.

I love writing, but I love the strategy behind it just as much. Diving deep into a target audience to understand what they need to hear, and crafting messages that truly connect, is what allows me to help people effectively. The writing is the vehicle; the results are the point.

I also understand that great copy is only part of the equation. Ranking takes more than words on a page, and my background as an award-winning journalist and successful PR rep means I know how to get people to actually notice what's written. That experience has translated into dozens of earned media wins for clients, because I understand both how to craft the message and how to get it in front of the right people.

My work has a bigger purpose. I know how important it is to support your family, and I get to help business owners, marketing directors, and more scale their companies so they can better support their own loved ones. Every project is really about someone else's goal, and I get to help them get there.

Chris Alexis

Freelance Copywriter & Communications Strategist

I'm Chris. I write for businesses that need their content to actually do something, not just fill a calendar and hope.

Words are cheap. Anyone can produce them. What's hard is building the strategy that turns those words into leads, coverage, and revenue. That's the part I actually get hired for.

More Than a Copywriter. It's a Partnership.

I like working with people, not just for them. A project isn't a win in my book unless the final piece is strong and the process of getting there didn't feel like pulling teeth. If you want someone who disappears for two weeks and sends back a Google Doc with zero context, I'm not your guy.

I care about trust, transparency, and doing right by the people I work with, full stop. My whole approach comes down to pairing real technical understanding with messaging that sounds like a human wrote it, because it did. Content that holds up when someone actually checks the facts, and reads well enough that people bother finishing it.

What Makes This Different

Most copywriters can write. Fewer can also report a story, pitch a journalist, think in SEO, and hold their own in a conversation with a business owner or an exec about what actually moves their numbers.

That's the combination I bring: journalism instincts for finding the interesting angle, PR experience for knowing how to pitch and position, SEO knowledge for making sure people can find the thing once it exists, and enough sales background to talk shop with the people signing off on the budget. Most of my work is still copywriting at its core, but that mix is why it tends to land differently than something generic.

What I Deliver

My work spans the full funnel, and a bit beyond it, into the stuff that builds a company's reputation, not just its pipeline.

Blogs and Articles: Thought Leadership and SEO

Consistent, well-researched content is what makes a brand look like it knows what it's talking about, because it does. I write long-form pieces, shorter posts, and ongoing content built to position you as the go-to voice in your space. Everything's optimized for search, so it's not just good writing sitting unread on page four of Google.

Landing Pages and Website Copy: Conversion Power

Your site is doing sales calls 24/7 whether you're paying attention to it or not. I write landing pages and core website copy meant to convert, with messaging that doesn't sound like the same three claims every competitor in your industry is also making.

Email Sequences and Sales Copy: Nurturing Leads

From welcome sequences to product announcements, I write email copy built to build trust and move people toward the next step, not just get opened. Good writing plus a smart sequence is the difference between an inbox people ignore and one that quietly becomes a revenue channel.

Executive Thought Leadership and Visibility

Some of the best marketing a company has isn't the company talking. It's a real person behind it, saying something worth reading. I work directly with founders and execs to build that presence: a monthly interview to pull out what's actually worth saying, LinkedIn posts that sound like a person and not a corporate account, and bylined articles or newsletters that put your name (or your CEO's) somewhere it'll get noticed.

PR and Communications

Not everything is a blog post. Sometimes you need a press release that actually gets picked up, a pitch that gets a journalist to write back, or a customer success story that does more convincing than another sales deck ever could. I handle press releases, media pitch development, case studies, and company announcements: the kind of writing that builds credibility instead of just filling space.

How I Work: The Chris Alexis Approach

1. Deep Dive and Strategy
We start with a real conversation: your business, your goals, your audience, what's actually been working and what hasn't. That's where the strategy and messaging come from, not a template.

2. Research and Interviews
I actually enjoy the research part (yes, genuinely). I talk to your team, dig into your competitors, and get far enough into your industry that the content reads like it was written by someone who gets it, because I will.

3. Writing, Editing, Delivery
First draft focuses on structure and getting the argument right. Then we revise based on your feedback until it's actually good, not just done. I take deadlines seriously, because a smooth process matters almost as much as the final piece.

4. Continuous Improvement
I keep an eye on how content actually performs and use that to make the next batch sharper, so month three is better than month one, not just more of the same.

Why Work With Me

I bring creativity and an actual point of view to the work, and I care about the results as much as you do. Good business runs on good relationships, and I try to make this process something you look forward to, not something you put up with.

Every project, whether it's a blog, a landing page, an email sequence, or a press release, is built around a real strategy for generating leads and growing revenue. Not just words arranged nicely.
